SuppStacker uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and product usage, and Sentry to diagnose unexpected software errors. These services receive standard request, browser, device, and pseudonymous identifier data needed to provide those functions. Google Analytics may store measurement cookies in your browser. We send curated interaction fields such as supplement identifiers and page placement, but do not send the text you type into SuppStacker search boxes. We do not sell personal data.

When you follow a SuppStacker link to Amazon, we record the supplement, brand, page placement, featured expert (when applicable), click time, and a random event ID. If your browser permits storage, it may keep a pending copy while our service is unavailable. We keep at most 100 pending clicks and remove them after delivery, a rejected request, or 13 days when you next visit. We do not include your identity, search text, Amazon account data, destination URL, or product price in this first-party record. It helps us measure whether our recommendations are useful and reconcile aggregate affiliate reporting.

The SuppStacker Chrome extension helps you see what health experts say about supplements while browsing Amazon product pages. Here is exactly what it does with your data:

What the extension reads

On Amazon product pages, the extension reads publicly visible product information (title, brand, and product identifier) to determine whether the product is a supplement. This information is processed entirely on your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Network requests

To identify supplements, the extension downloads a catalog of known supplement names from SuppStacker-owned public web infrastructure, with the SuppStacker API as a fallback. The catalog is cached locally for 24 hours. This download does not include any information about you or the pages you visit.

When you click the expert reviews badge to open the review panel, the extension retrieves expert review data from public snapshots on SuppStacker-owned web infrastructure. Requested source-reference filenames can contain the matched supplement identifier. If snapshots fail, the extension sends supplement identifiers and names to the SuppStacker API as a fallback. No product identifiers (such as ASINs), personal information, or Amazon account data are included in these requests.

The review panel also loads first-party expert avatar images from SuppStacker-owned web infrastructure so the interface can render expert photos consistently.

The extension sends minimal, pseudonymous usage events to the SuppStacker API when it first loads expert data successfully, is used again after seven days, opens the expert review panel, or clicks “Continue on Amazon.” These events include a randomly generated install ID, the extension version, the matched supplement ID when available, and a true-or-false value indicating whether an Amazon product identifier (ASIN) was present. They do not include the raw ASIN, your Amazon account data, or the full page content. Amazon continuation events also include the affiliate tracking tag.

SuppStacker stores those limited events in a first-party operational ledger and forwards the same curated fields to Google Analytics for aggregate funnel reporting. Diagnostic test events are marked separately and excluded from product and retention metrics.

When you click “Continue on Amazon,” the extension opens the current product page with SuppStacker's affiliate tag. SuppStacker may earn from qualifying purchases. Opening or closing the expert panel does not add a tag, and the extension does not modify Amazon's existing links. The separate SuppStacker website may contain disclosed affiliate links, from which SuppStacker may earn from qualifying purchases.

Local storage

The extension stores a cached copy of the supplement catalog on your device, refreshed daily, along with the current product context, a randomly generated install ID, usage-event timestamps, and any pseudonymous events waiting to be delivered. It may retain temporary scroll-restoration state from older versions. Raw ASINs and the full product-page content remain on your device; only the limited fields described above are sent to the SuppStacker API.

Third parties

The extension sends operational and analytics requests to SuppStacker-owned services, which use Google Analytics as described above. Chrome Web Store listing views and installs are also measured through Google-managed analytics on the Chrome Web Store page itself. SuppStacker does not send your Amazon account data or raw product identifiers to advertisers or unrelated third parties.
